My dearest mum,
Just a line dear to let you know that I am pretty good. The last couple of days I have been a bit sea sick and fed the fish for the first time this morning. I have had my head clipped all over and look something like a savage but that does not matter for a good number here look the same.
I wrote to Elsie the other night. I suppose she will get her letter at the same time as you get this.
It was only yesterday that I got some writing material of my own. Cecil Thompson kept me in envelopes for the time.
We are still moving along and have not seen land for 3 days. It is very monotonous seeing nothing but sea everywhere, we have not even seen another ship for the last couple

of days. Dirty squally weather still continues and it will be a regular boon the day we will be able to open the port holes and let some fresh air in.
Well mum dear there is nothing more to say this time. Kindly remember me to Mrs Bryant Mary and give my love to all at home.
I am
Your affectionate son Wilf
